Environmental Stewardship
At Pig House Cabinets, we strive for healthier products. Environmental stewardship is extremely important to us, which is why we offer products made from Eco-friendly materials. Each product offers durability and sustainability. The average life expectancy of our products is well over 15 years, which is three times the industry standard.
What Steps Do We Take to Protect the Environment and Our Clients?
First, we choose the most responsible lumbar available. We purchase through companies certified in the Forest Stewardship Council. The plywood selected has the lowest C.A.R.B. levels in the industry.
We also offer salvaged wood, wood veneer, or renewable resources such as bamboo. These products are more Eco-sensitive.
Then, we also preserve and refinish existing cabinetry. Rather than only focusing on new cabinetry, we also offer refinishing services. Often we are able to re-purpose or refinish existing cabinetry.
Finally, we use only the most environmentally friendly paint and stain products. ML Campbell’s EnviroMax and EnviroClaw offers finish and paint products rated with low VOCs. It is important to us that we offer products that are formaldehyde free, low odor and is GREENGUARD certified.
Our production facility is also taking important steps to limit emissions into the atmosphere.
